Not as a rule; however, some drivers may volunteer to offer car sharing to certain walks. These will usually be from major towns like Lincoln, Sleaford and Louth. Drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers. As a rough guide, 15p per mile is considered an amount which reasonably meets the costs incurred by the driver for each trip. Rather than payment, most members set up an informal car sharing scheme between themselves and other members that live nearby. Our best advice is to ask around on walks or social meetings.
