Lincolnshire Walking Group The Lincolnshire Walking group was formed in March 2004. We are a new local group of the Ramblers Association aimed for people in their 20 and 30's in Lincolnshire. We hold regular walks and social events. The majority of the group are new starters who are keen to enjoy the outdoors, breathe the fresh air and enjoy the countryside around us. As well as the walks arranged by our walking group we are also welcome to join in the Lincolnshire Ramblers Group walks. See the links section for their details of their website. You do not need to join the Ramblers Association straight away, just turn up, give us a try, and then if you want to join us, speak to one of the group leaders who will usually have an application form close at hand. Its a great way to chill out, keep fit and meet new friends. The Ramblers' Association The Ramblers' Association is Britain's biggest organisation working for walkers. They have been looking after Britain's footpaths and defending its beautiful countryside for more than 65 years by protecting Britain's unique network of public paths -- all too often, they are illegally blocked, obstructed and overgrown. The Ramblers' Association works with local authorities to make them a pleasure to walk on, providing information to help you plan your walk and enjoy it in safety and comfort. increasing access for walkers The Ramblers' Association has about 450 Groups across Great Britain, organised into around 50 Areas. The Ramblers' Association is not affiliated to any political party and is required by its constitution to be non-sectarian. The Association is a democratic, voluntary organisation, registered as a charity (no. 1093577) and as a company limited by guarantee (registered in England and Wales, no. 4458492). |
