We set off from Wellingore wondering what to expect. BBC weather had said "Nasty weather - stay indoors", Sky Weather predicted all ok until about 3-4pm.
So with waterproofs at the ready we headed off along the Viking way.
Liz jumps the style in one go. Someones had too much Ready Brek!!
Autumn is in full swing with bushes full of berries. Nature's firework display in full flow.
We head on as the sky gets darker....
and darker. At least with Matt's (the walk leaders) fluorescent coat we shouldn't lose him no matter how bad it gets.
here are some nice views to be seen, especially with the Autumn colours starting to show in the trees. Yep you guessed it, I like Autumn.
We take a break (and a kit kat) Oops, here goes another trademark.
I was going to make a comment along the lines of "Look who is last out of the pub AGAIN!" but decided the risk to my life wasn't worth it.
Oh look a road nearly disappearing into the distance. (There was a lack of roads on this walk)
As you can see we came out the other end nice and safe..... ummm, Anybody seen Matt?!!!
Hey! nobody mentioned hills!!
We start to wonder if Matt is reading the map right. He assures us that "Danger -Keep out" is Lincolnshire dialect for "Public Footpath"
and what a nice footpath it was.
As you can see we came out the other end nice and safe... ummm, Anybody seen Matt?!!!
Is that Lincoln in the distance ???
We arrive back in Lincoln and it didn't rain until after the walk had ended. Well done Sky Weather! Thanks to Matt for leading the walk.
