We set off through Bradley Woods.
into fields of yellow.
The forecast was for heavy thunder showers developing later but at the moment the sun still shines as we head onwards.
We haven't had one of these for a bit... A road disappearing into the distance!
Our first break.
Walk leader Liz checks the map
From the top of the hill we can see all the way to Grimsby.
This path just had to be walked, as it led straight through a wood full of bluebells. I'll be quiet for a bit and let you enjoy the views.
We leave the woods and head into the countryside.
Soon we are having to fight our way through the Oilseed rape fields. Anybody starting to sneeze yet?
Our old adversory, the cows are back! We eye one another up. "Who is going to win this year?"
Matt dashed across the field and relaxes safely on theother side of the gate.
Just had to stop and take this shot. The Oilseed rape really shone against the dark threatening clouds.
Liz dreams of Christmas as we come across a Christmas tree plantation.
Maybe we ought to get a move on. The clouds are getting darker.
In the eerie light before a thunderstorm these trees just seemed to glow.
The end of the walks is in sight, but it looks like we are about to get soaked!! Thanks to Liz for leading this walk.
