Spilsby

We gather to set off from Spilsby on a lovely sunny morning.

This is our first visit to this area and we are pleasantly surprised how nice the countryside is.

We encountered the dreaded sticky mud but it didn't spoil the day.

We stride out on an easy downhill section.

What goes down, must come back up.

Plenty of styles on this walk, we had to leave the dogs at home today.

St. Mary's Church, Hundleby (we got a bit lost here, don't tell anybody).

Who's got the best technique for style crossing?

The walk leader loses for not being at the front.

And the winner is Neil, seen here employing the tricky straddle method.

I hope the leader knows the way.

We love horses, the best of all the animals (that's when they don't go psycho on you, just because you happen to walk past)

The maze is thought to be carved by a small cell of monks that lived here in the 13th century. They would have done it on their knees as penitence.
