Riverside is an open-air music festival which traditionally has been held annually on the first Saturday of July, on the meadows in Stamford, showcasing at least 30 bands and artists, usually more, mostly from the surrounding area, on at least 3 main stages - the Riverside Stage, the Marquee Stage and the Acoustic Stage.
Meet at the front of the beer tent at 2:00 pm. Cost is £3 (donation to charity). There are over 30 bands and free fireworks ending at 11:00 pm. Stay as long as you like. Good beer tent, 40 real ales and 20 strong ciders. Lots of food stalls. Peterborough Younger Walkers also have a social at this event.

Meeting Point / Venue

Stamford is pretty limestone town located in South Lincolnshire just off the A1 and approximately 15 miles north of Peterborough. Stamford Meadows is located in the heart of the town by the main bridge over the River Welland.

Walk Difficulty Gradings
- Very Easy:
- Short walk on the flat or with an occasional incline.
- Easy:
- Normal length walk on the flat or over rolling countryside.
- Medium:
- Normal length walk over rolling countryside with a few steep hills to climb or descents.
- Hard:
- Normal length walk over hilly countryside including many steep climbs and descents.
- Very Hard:
- Normal to extended walks over hilly countryside requiring a good head for heights, maybe some easy scrambling involved but nothing dangerous.
