Sleaford Walk 12 miles
- When:
-
Sun 04 Jul 2010
10:30 h - 16:00 h - Where:
- The Hub - Sleaford
An easy 12 mile walk starting from The Hub in the centre of Sleaford. This route will be familiar to some of the longer standing members of the group, we last walked this route in April 2004. This walk will be a circular route, heading north to Ruskington then turning south to Haverholme Lock and Priory. From here we shall pick up the River Slea and follow this back to Sleaford, past the many landmarks that once made up the Sleaford Navigation. After the walk, we shall probably end up in the Packhorse Inn for refreshments, so bring along some money if you fancy a drink and bite to eat.

The Hub National Centre for Craft & Design includes galleries and studio space. It is situated in the former Hubbards Seed Warehouse on the Sleaford Navigation wharf. From there, a riverside walk leads by way of a wild life area to Cogglesford mill, a renovated and functioning flour mill.
