Join walk leader Andy on his walk around Redmile just over border in Leicestershire (approx 10 miles west of Grantham). This walk promises to be a great day out with plenty of autumn woodland walking and great views over the Vale of Belvoir and Belvoir Castle.
The walk heads out towards Belvoir castle, proudly sat on top of the hill. The route then follows the Jubilee way through the woods that should be decked out in their autumn colours of red and gold. Taking in the outstanding views of the vale of Belvoir, the route then descends from the hillside to Stathern and a return to Redmile following the towpath of the disused Grantham canal.
Meet near windmill pub. Small amount of road walking in and out of Villages.
Please note: If you are travelling from the Lincoln area be aware that parts of the A607 are being re-surfaced and closed around Lincoln. You may want to set off earlier than you intended or try and avoid the A607 altogether.
